Imperfect Vaccination Can Enhance the Transmission of Highly Virulent Pathogens

Abstract

Could some vaccines drive the evolution of more virulent pathogens? Conventional wisdom is that natural selection will remove highly lethal pathogens if host death greatly reduces transmission. Vaccines that keep hosts alive but still allow transmission could thus allow very virulent strains to circulate in a population. Here we show experimentally that immunization of chickens against Marek's disease virus enhances the fitness of more virulent strains, making it possible for hyperpathogenic strains to transmit. Immunity elicited by direct vaccination or by maternal vaccination prolongs host survival but does not prevent infection, viral replication or transmission, thus extending the infectious periods of strains otherwise too lethal to persist. Our data show that anti-disease vaccines that do not prevent transmission can create conditions that promote the emergence of pathogen strains that cause more severe disease in unvaccinated hosts.

sa druge strane, ako dakle zanemarimo ovaj prvi aspekt lažnog informisanja: "da će nas vakcina vratiti normalnom životu" i ako se znalo da ona to ne može da učini jer nije napravljena za to... dakle ako zanemarimo taj aspekt, čak ni ono ZA ŠTA JESTE dizajnirana ne radi

na ime postoje brojne studije koje pokazauju da je efikasnost sa čuvenih 90+% kod fajzera i 80+% kod moderne i zeneka pala na ispod 30% i ispod 20%... dakle čak ni to zašta su namenjene ne rade

treći aspekt je da je trajanje zaštite koju pružaju svedeno na nekliko meseci (oko 6 meseci)

kako onda u tom svetlu shvatiti mere pojedinih zemalja da samo vakcinisani mogu ulaziti prisustvovati ili okupljati?

inicijalno vakcinisani prihvataju i odbravaju takve mere (kako bi se zaštitili od nas gubavih) ali nisam siguran koliko shvataju da sami sebi kopaju jamu. podržavajući takve mere oni prihvataju da budu injektovani svakih nekoliko meseci, jer kovid pasoš u ovakvoj situaciji ima samo smisla ukoliko beleži i kad ste primili poslednju vakcinu i kada vam ističe period "efikasnosti"...

ja se ne bi pravio mnogo pametan pa ksao to objašnjavao... ja samo čitam šta ljudi pišu, kačio sam ovde na temi ako uspem da pronađem okačiću opet... dakle struka je bila iznenađena kada se iz podnete dokumentacije jasno i ne skriveno videlo da su ciljevi razvitka tada još ne odobrenog sredstva: ublažavanje simptoma i sprečavanje težih oblika bolesti. kako to funkcioniše (da se ne pravim pametan, iskreno) ne znam ali činjenica je a to i trenutno izveštavanje (narativ) potvrđuje da je to ono što vakcina radi.... pa je moja poenta bila u smislu kome onda prodajete maglu sloganima samo vakcinom možemo da pobedimo virus, vratimo se normalnom životu itd.

Pa ako nađeš postavi... u međuvremenu, najozbiljnije ti kažem da to što pišeš nema smisla... ne postoji nekakav cilj razvitka vakcine za ublažavanje simptoma bolesti... cilj svake vakcine je isti - da pomogne organizmu da formira jak stečeni imunitet na neki patogen...

ovo je vrlo upitno da li je tako u slučaju ove nove mrna tehnologije, možda za pređašnje vakcine "starog" tipa koje su radile tako kako kažeš (btw ta stara tehnologija je imala i neobične (pozitivne) nus-efekte, recimo BSŽ vakcina koja je originalno vakcina protiv bakterije pokazala je da su ljudi njom vakcinisani značajno više zaštićeni od virusa)

stvar je u tome da dinamika razmnožavanja virusa naspram imunog odgovora koji se aktivira je takva da dozvoljava preživljavanje i dalje širenje virusa koji u kombinaciji sa stopom zaraze dovodi do ovoga što imamo: virus se ne iskorenjuje u populaciji nego cirkuliše u populaciji.

Ne znam kako je to primedba u odnosu na bilo šta što sam napisao... jedina razlika je što ti (izgleda) tvrdiš da vakcine ne smanjuju stopu zaraze, a ja ti kažem da podaci pokazuju da smanjuje... mada, jesu malo konfuzni u poslednje vreme tj. pojavljuju se oprečni podaci...

Opet, ne znam i ne razumem šta može po tvom mišljenju da smanji stopu zaraze osim vakcina i odgovornog ponašanja?

neselektivna upotreba vakcina (npr na ljudima koji su preboleli covid, ili na deci) može samo da dovede do toga da virus stvarno bude sa nama narednih 100 godina (kako reče dr.(A)Kon ) 

Zašto? Kakve veze ima neselektivna upotreba vakcina sa tim da li će virus biti sa nama narednih 100 godina? U najgorem slučaju, vakcine ne prave nikakvu razliku na stopu zaraze i štite od smrti i bolesti...

Dan mrmota... sasvim sam siguran da sam na ovo već odgovorio... elem, da kod Marekove bolesti, kod koje pilići u ogromnom broju slučajeva umiru, ako im daš takvu vakcinu zarazice se više pilića na farmi na kojoj se pojavila bolest, jer će neko zaraženo pile umesto da umre odmah, preživeti i dalje prenositi zarazu... u prevodu na ljude, ako svakog ko dobije koronu odmah udariš čekićem u glavu, korona će se manje širiti nego ako ljudima daš vakcine... Dan mrmota... sasvim sam siguran da sam na ovo već odgovorio... elem, da kod Marekove bolesti, kod koje pilići u ogromnom broju slučajeva umiru, ako im daš takvu vakcinu zarazice se više pilića na farmi na kojoj se pojavila bolest, jer će neko zaraženo pile umesto da umre odmah, preživeti i dalje prenositi zarazu... u prevodu na ljude, ako svakog ko dobije koronu odmah udariš čekićem u glavu, korona će se manje širiti nego ako ljudima daš vakcine... P.S. Iako je naravno tačno da živi pilići bolje prenose zarazu nego mrtvi (pa je valjda cool pustiti ih da umru)... vakcinacija je drastično smanjila broj obolelih pilića od Marekove bolesti...
