Jean Jennings Bartik (December 27, 1924 – March 23, 2011) was one of the original programmers for the ENIAC computer. She studied mathematics in school then began work at the University of Pennsylvania, first manually calculating ballistics trajectories, then using ENIAC to do so. She and her colleagues developed and codified many of the fundamentals of programming while working on the ENIAC, since it was the first computer of its kind. After her work on ENIAC, Bartik went on to work on BINAC and UNIVAC, and spent time at a variety of technical companies as a writer, manager, engineer and programmer.

Ruth Teitelbaum (née Lichterman) (1924–1986) was one of the original programmers for the ENIAC computer and one of the first computer programmers in the world.

Teitelbaum graduated from Hunter College with a B.Sc. in Mathematics. She was hired by the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania to compute ballistics trajectories. The Moore School was funded by the US Army during the Second World War. Here a group of about 80 women worked manually calculating ballistic trajectories - complex differential calculations. These women were called "computers". In 1945, the Army decided to fund an experimental project - the first all-electronic digital computer and six of the women "computers" were selected to be its first programmers. Teitelbaum was among these six. ^[1]

Marlyn Wescoff Meltzer (1922 – December 4, 2008^[1]) was one of the six original programmers of ENIAC, the first general-purpose electronic digital computer.

She was born Marlyn Wescoff Wescoff in Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University in 1942. She was hired by the Moore School of Engineering later that year to perform weather calculations, mainly because she knew how to operate an adding machine; in 1943, she was hired to perform calculations for ballistics trajectories.^[3]]At the time this was accomplished by using manual desktop mechanical calculators. Gloria Gordon Bolotsky (July 28, 1921 – June 30, 2009) was an American computer scientist, one of the early programmers of the ENIAC computer.

Gloria Ruth Gordon was born in New York City. She attended a nursing school, but eventually graduated with a degree in mathematics from Brooklyn College.^[1]

Gordon worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard as a mathematician before moving to Philadelphia to join the University of Pennsylvania's engineering school in the 1940s. She was part of a team of around a hundred scientists who participated in the programming of the ENIAC computer, which was designed to calculate artillery firing tables for the US Army. The initial programming had been done by six women.

Shaw (function tables), Jeffrey Chuan Chu (divider/square-rooter), Thomas Kite Sharpless (master programmer), Frank Mural (master programmer), Arthur Burks(multiplier), Harry Huskey (reader/printer) and Jack Davis (accumulators).^[14] In 1946, the researchers resigned from the University of Pennsylvania and formed the Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation.

Pa nismo u tome konzervativni, nisi razumeo...

Svakako da smo za razvoj i napredak u tim sferama.

Niste. Ne mozes da budes za napredak i razvoj a da si zatvoren za nove ideje i eksperimente. 

Ne mozes da se razvijas ako si u konstantnom strahu da te novine ugrozavaju... to je cista degeneracija.

Добро, Ада је већ опште позната и призната, док се за ове друге програм...  жене што су преспајале жице слабо зна. Можда ће бити занимљиво за @Milan Rakic, програмски језик који је по Ади добио име се користи за писање софтвера у авионици. 

Ипак, моја омиљена женска из те области је Emmy Noether. Она је, заједно са још пар њих, за рачунарске науке урадила оно што је Дарвин урадио за биологију.

Čak i da je tačno to što si postavio, zaboravljaš da su pre Pinocheta imali socijalistički šljam, pa to odlično objašnjava nizak standard pre intervencije Frieadmanovih učenika.

То је ко што су демократе овде и даље криве за низак стандард  Па ти ниси само самоуправљач, него си и напредњак

Čak i da je najveći deo netačan, tačno je, da je za vreme hunte, pzatvarano, mučeno, poubijano na hiljade ljudi. Osim ako misliš da se isplati u ime boljeg standarda.
