Du 3 au 5 décembre 2016 s'est déroulé un événement historique : la première visite en France de Sa Sainteté Cyrille, Patriarche de Moscou et de toute la Russie, depuis son élection au siège patriarcal. Retour sur ces 3 jours de visite. Après la célébration des Vigiles dans l´église orthodoxe des Trois-Saints-Docteurs à Paris, le patriarche Cyrille de Moscou a consacré la nouvelle grande église orthodoxe de la Sainte-Trinité du Centre culturel et spirituel russe, quai Branly, en plein coeur de Paris. Puis il a visité le séminaire orthodoxe russe Sainte-Geneviève d´Epinay-sous-Sénart. Une visite sous le signe de l´unité. Reportage du 09/12/2016.

Sa Sainteté Cyrille, Patriarche de Moscou et de toute la Russie, effectue les rites de sanctification et de consécration de la nouvelle cathédrale orthodoxe russe à Paris, la cathédrale Sainte-Trinité (2016).

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led the ceremonies of consecration of the Cathedral of the Dormition and All Saints, in London, on Sunday, October 16. The Divine Liturgy, that includes the sanctification of the bells and frescoes on the outer wall of the Cathedral, were the key event for the pastoral visit of Patriarch Kirill to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, that took place between October 15 – 18, 2016. The visit was devoted to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Church presence in the British Islands and was the first visit by a Russian patriarch to the country.

The Ecumenical Patriarch is the Archbishop of Constantinople–New Rome and ranks as primus inter pares (first among equals) among the heads of the several autocephalous churches that make up the Eastern Orthodox Church, often being regarded as the spiritual leader of the 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide. During this historic Oxford Union event, The Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew I of Constantinople address the Oxford Union and answers audience questions.

Pour notre émission 'Orthodoxie' nous étions en visite au Monastère Orthodoxe de Solan, dans le Gard (France). Ce Saint Monastère, dédié à la Nativité de la Mère de Dieu, a été fondé par l'Archimandrite Placide Deseille, moine du Monastère Simonos Petra (Mont Athos), et dépend canoniquement de la Métropole Orthodoxe de France. Dans ce Saint Monastère le visiteur y retrouve le grand respect pour la sauvegarde de la création divine. Les soeurs y vivent au rythme de la terre. Le travail des moniales pour gagner leur vie n'est pas une activité 'profane' qui prendrait place à côté de l'activité 'sacrée' que serait la prière. Ce travail n'est pas seulement sanctifié parce que les sœurs essaient de prier en même temps qu’elles l'accomplissent... C’est toute la cohérence de leur vie qui s'exprime dans la manière de se nourrir, d'aborder la terre, de la cultiver, en respectant sa nature, ses rythmes, sa finalité.
