У животу нисам прочитао бољу епску фантастику а прочитао сам солидан број аутора. Џорџ Р.Р. Мартин је, по мом мишљењу, заиста убедљиво најбољи писац дотичног жанра.Заиста,из небројено много разлога, саветујем да се 4 књиге (пета се преводи...надам се!), које су се до сада појавиле, обавезно прочитају!

Martin je bravurozan pisac koji ume veoma vesto da uklopi nekoliko nivoa price u jednu istu koja tece,a da ni jedan od nivoa ne trpi na kvalitetu.Bez sumlje,najbolji zivi pisac epske fantastike.Tolkin je zakon u svemu,ali ovaj covek je uspeo da razvije potpuno drugaciji, originalan stil koji odise energijom,porukama zivotnim i realizmom prepunim dubine postojanja.Istinski sam odusevljen.

Sex & Nudity

Throughout the series, there are numerous scenes of coarse nudity. Many are only partial, but some contain full-frontal nudity (both male and female). Several of these scenes take part in brothels, so sex is implied.

Episode 7 features a graphic sex scene between two women including multiple positions and crude dialogue. It is very strong and goes on for several minutes.

A man thrusts into a woman from behind. His genitals are shown briefly.

A man performs oral sex on another man. It occurs just off screen but can be clearly heard.

Crude sexual humour and dialogue play a large part in the series.

A man has an incest relationship with his twin sister, and it is later discovered he is the father of her three children.

A man tells a young girl that a group of criminals would otherwise rape her.

Violence & Gore

The violence in this series is brutal and realistic but it is usually over very quickly and is not excessively gory.

Ravaged bodies of men, women, and children in a frozen forest have been hacked to bits, heads are on stakes, and there are dismembered limbs all around. The inclusion of children was especially troublesome. The camera pans out and you see the bodies are laid out in a kind of pattern, like a ring.

A young man's two companions are attacked by a mysterious figure and killed (one beheaded in front of him and the head tossed at his feet).

A deserter is caught and beheaded for his desertion. A young boy watches.

Men fight over a tribal dancer and one is disemboweled.

A wolf tears a chunk of flesh from a man's neck and he bleeds to death. Quite gruesome.

Throughout the series, there is strong, bloody violence, mainly involving swords and knives. (E.g. - at one point, a character is stabbed through the eye and into the brain with a knife. The bloody blade can clearly be seen protruding from the back of his head.)

Several people have their throats slit (always bloody) and at one point, a man actually tears out part of another man's throat (VERY bloody).

A man tells another man he is going "to open him from balls to brains", to see what he's made of.

Profanity

Multiple uses of "fuck", "shit", "cunt", "cock", "prick", "bastard" and other, mild profanities such as "hell", "ass" and "piss" throughout the series.

"Cripple" is used several times.

Some terms are used in sexual dialogue.

A late teenager is repeatedly called a "bastard", as his mother is not married to his father. This term is also used by the boy when talking about himself, and is used to refer to other, minor characters occasionally.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking

One character drinks alcohol at a brothel.

Characters apparently drink alcohol during a feast.

A young teenager gives a girl wine to drink at one point, saying "my lady can drink as much as she likes".

Frightening/Intense Scenes

The opening sequence in the frozen north is very intense. It includes graphic violence and suspense as the men who witness the scene of the butchery attempt to run for their lives.

A small boy is pushed out from a high window and as a result, loses the use of his legs.

The bloody violence throughout the series is very gruesome and realistic.

Several be-headings may upset some viewers.

A man has his tongue cut off, but this is only seen in the background and isn't shown clearly.

The scenes with the "Direwolves" brutally attacking people may frighten some viewers - one man has his throat ripped out, another has several fingers torn off and a young teenager is badly bitten in the arm (in a later episode, the puncture marks on his skin can be seen clearly as scars and it is said that they will never heal).

A violent man brutally be-heads his horse. In a later episode, a horse has its throat slit.
