Ако сад рецимо замислимо тежиште тетраедра спојено са теменима ( па још на крајевима мало и заоштрено ) врло смо близу себи да дочарамо змајев зуб, шпански јахач...



Тетраедру увек једно теме штрчи увис, како год да падне, па је тако и са дериватом caltropоm, "примењеним" тетраедром, и постоје подаци да су тим идејама људи практично баратали још у Бронзаном добу, Greek Bronze Caltrop War Spike: 4th century B.C. VERY RARE ANCIENT ROMAN BRONZE CALTROP

Very rare ancient Roman bronze Caltrop. Circa 1st-3rd century AD. Distance between some of the barbs: approx. 60x62x54 mm. Very rare in bronze! The caltrop is a device intended to impede the progress of human troops, horses and war elephants on a battlefield. A caltrop is a weapon made up of four or more sharp nails or spines arranged in such a manner that one of them always points upward from a stable base. The caltrop has been known since ancient times and was known to the Romans as tribulus or sometimes as Murex ferreus. The caltrop continued in use through the Medieval centuries too.

Medieval iron caltrop ("calthrop"). 8th-11th century AD. Anti-cavalry wrapon, these were spread around the outside of fortifications, to stop enemy horses in their tracks upon event of a seige. No matter how they sat on the ground, a sharpened spike was always sticking straight up. A gorgeous example! 2 3/4 inches across the widest points.

Вероватно сад схватамо да примењена стереометрија није била тако баш ни наивна, чак се може касти да и данас тај "змајев зуб" уме да буде врло незгодан.

In Euclidean geometry, a Platonic solid Tetrahedron (four faces), тзв. змајев зуб, уме баш да буде незгодан, а нарочито врлим паланачким кокошарима и то у свим апстрахованим дериватима. Ту би рецимо за крај ваљало и напоменути натпис који је стајао на улазу у Платонову Академију: "Нека не улази онај ко није вешт геометрији", а римује се са "минер греши само једном" српском изворном народном изреком ил' што би се 'но у нас казло, maximom.
