Inside The Church Of Scientology’s $145M Headquarters

“Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion.” – L. Ron Hubbard. L. Ron Hubbard was initially a science fiction and fantasy novel writer, but he’s best known for being the founder of The Church Of Scientology. One of the “holiest” days in the religion is actually Hubbard’s birthday.  Since the likes of Tom Cruise & John Travolta has joined their ranks, more and more people are becoming aware of his pseudo church and religion.

In short Scientology is based on the notion that our area of the universe was initially ruled by a warmongering alien called Xenu. He lived around 65 million years ago and it was during his reign that his enormous empire became dangerously overpopulated. To combat this ever-expanding problem, he ordered that trillions of alien citizens undergo psychiatric evaluation and taxation audits. During these interrogations they were fed paralytic drugs, scooped up and placed onto various spacecraft and whizzed off to Planet Teegeeack.

But it didn’t end there.

These individuals were then piled up upon one another near various volcanoes and once in position, atom bombs were fired into said volcanoes wiping out trillions of intergalactic citizens.

Now sure, we might have paraphrased, but that’s the opening gambit of Scientology – the story behind their beliefs, the foundation of their region. In fairness, it certainly sounds a lot more appealing and entertaining than the story of Adam and Eve doesn’t it? But to say L.Ron Hubbard was a little disenfranchised from reality, is putting it mildly.

Still, that hasn’t stopped his estate or the religion itself continuing to make millions of dollars from those willing and susceptible enough to believe its story. Take for example their new $145,000,000 headquarters which they recently unveiled, breathtaking in design with no expense spared.

From Xenu nefarious ways some 65M years ago, to $145M in real estate – it’s amazing where a good story can take you isn’t it?

Kad naučna fantastika postane religija.... hmmm poznazo je to svakom klincu ko je na takvim stvarima odrastao.

 

Ali ovo preterivanje je stvarno popunjavanje praznine luksuzom.... ustvari maska za ono u šta zapravo veruju.

Naravno, ova sekta nije za svakoga. Jedino holivudske zvijezde (poput Toma Kruza, Džona Travolte...) i njima slični mogu biti dio ovoga, jer ljudi bez ogromnih količina novca nisu ni dobrodošli u ovu sektu. To se da vrlo lako vidjeti i na ovoj samoj njihovoj "crkvi"!
